The U.S. Department of State​ is currently accepting applications for a Grants Management Specialist.

The Grants Management Specialist is a Personal Services Contractor (or PSC) assigned to the Global Engagement Center (GEC), under the Office of the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs (R), reporting directly to the Director of the China Team in Washington, DC. They work to ensure proper oversight of GEC grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts in accordance with the GEC’s mandate to provide federal assistance awards (grants, cooperative agreements, or contracts) to support local entities that are best placed to refute foreign propaganda and disinformation; analyze and report on tactics, techniques, and procedures of foreign information warfare; and counter efforts by foreign entities to use disinformation and propaganda to undermine the United States, allies, and partner nations. The position manages and administers existing projects, including making decisions on the allowability and allocability of grant expenses by implementers, grants statements of work, and schedules; resolve exceptionally complex programmatic and technical issues; and make substantive recommendations on whether to initiate, modify, or terminate projects.

This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract position. You do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position.
