Thank you for continuing to wear your mask, maintaining physical distance and getting vaccinated to protect yourself and those around you.

Facemask
Dear Veteran,

We are still very much in the fight against the spread of COVID-19. The Delta variant of the virus is on the rise in our community. It is necessary that you continue to wear facemasks to protect yourself and others.

As a reminder, regardless of your vaccination status, masks are mandatory inside all Tampa VA facilities. Please wear your masks at all times when you visit, including when approaching our screening staff for entry.

When planning for your in-person appointment at the Tampa VA or one of our clinics, please note that we are not allowing any outpatient guests. One essential companion is allowed to accompany a Veteran due to disability or as a chaperone to help navigate the facility. Children, persons under 18 years old, will not be allowed to accompany Veterans or to wait inside our facility. Please plan accordingly.

The COVID-19 Delta variant now makes up more than 50% of COVID-19 cases nationally. In areas with low levels of vaccination, the percentage is felt to be higher. The good news is that vaccines are effective. If you haven’t been vaccinated, visit COVID-19 Vaccines – James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital – Tampa, Florida for more information and the latest walk-in schedule to get vaccinated.

Thank you for continuing to wear your mask, maintaining physical distance and getting vaccinated to protect yourself and those around you.
